Our good friend Jeff was promoted to Major in the United States Army this past week. Hayley and I had the privilege to share this special day with him and attend his ceremony. He works at one of the most secured base in the United States, so we were not allowed to bring in cameras or cell phones. We only have pictures from the visitors center. :( It was so top secret that we had to get special clearance and we each had a special code to get into through the gate. We then got locked in a glass room where they took our picture to make sure we all came out. It was pretty crazy. The ceremony was beautiful. I got a little choked up at some points. :) Jeff has had an amazing career with the Army and was promoted to major within 8 years...something that's unheard of. He is 2 years ahead of schedule. He has been to Iraq twice, received a purple heart, and many more accolades. We are so thankful for his service to our country and can't thank him enough for keeping us safe.
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, JESUS CHRIST and the AMERICAN SOLIDER. One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
